Join Facing History and our partners at The California Teachers Collaborative Summer Institute. This summer institute is a unique professional development opportunity—offered at no cost, with travel expenses reimbursed—for California high school and middle school educators, focusing on enhancing their teaching of the Holocaust and genocide. This institute is presented in partnership with the California Department of Education.
The California Teachers Collaborative is a statewide network uniting California’s 14 leading institutions for Holocaust and genocide education as well as community leaders from diverse ethnic groups across the state.
Through the California Teachers Collaborative, teachers:
- Connect with leading museums, non-profit organizations, and individual experts in Holocaust and genocide education.
- Implement new curricula developed by the Collaborative, with accompanying professional development and personalized support.
- Take Action to address the surge of antisemitism and hate in California school communities.
